As the midday heat rose, Tmimay Deim's lead singer cried out to the dancing crowd, "Shabbat Shalom," wishing them a peaceful Sabbath. Then the band launched into a song that opened with the distinctive strains of klezmer music before transitioning into a familiar reggae beat.
Not a New Band
I just finished listening to Proud of the House We Built by Brooks & Dunn and I can get into some of that old style Country Music I think. Brooks and Dunn have been "doing it" for a long time now and there is something to be said for a group of musicians who have been true to their roots and not deviated from their music...and had the success they have had and continue to have. It is refreshing to see a band do that, especially these days.
